So far, the 2020s have been an interesting time for European Business aviation. Following the uncertainty of COVID-19 and its impact on aviation as a whole, our industry hit new heights in July 2021, recording our busiest month ever with around 85,000 flights. This trend has continued into 2022, as commercial aviation has struggled to come to terms with rebounding demand of travellers.

Montreal – October 7, 2022 – The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), alongside EBAA, applauds the adoption of a long-term aspirational goal for international aviation of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, by governments gathered for the 41st ICAO Assembly this week. The decision sends an important signal of the resolve of the international aviation community to decarbonize.

Brussels, 7 September 2022. The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) has taken note of the current political mainstream that is calling for the regulation of private jet flights more thoroughly at the EU level. Most upsetting, are the unfortunate routes taken that includes notions of banning, or increasing taxation which could simply deter the entire industry from operating and developing sustainable technologies.
