25 January, 2021 (Brussels). EBAA, along with members of Europe's leading aviation associations have today released an open letter addressed to the European Commission and Member States, supporting the upcoming U-space regulation while offering their assistance to jointly address those aspects needing further research and clarification.

On Saturday 26 December 2020, the European Commission published the Draft EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement. The draft agreement foresees cooperation between the EU and UK and contains dedicated titles on transport and aviation which require appropriate level playing field guarantees.

The Netherlands has banned flights from the United Kingdom out of concern for a new mutation of the virus that causes COVID19

Brussels, 16 December 2020 – Today, a global group of leading business aviation organizations announced a coordinated effort to combat illegal on-demand charter flights in the sector. The group, called the Air Charter Safety Alliance, will raise awareness among potential customers, charter brokers, ministries of transport, and national aviation authorities regarding the use of unauthorized aircraft operators for on-demand flights.

The long-awaited legislative proposal will hopefully be approved by the end of 2021

The internet and the ability to work online is a blessing where most the work is being conducted remotely. Imagine that the COVID19 Pandemic had occurred 20 years ago in a time when we were not so well connected. However, there is a downside, scamming and internet fraud is on the rise.

On 10 December 2020, the European Commission put forward contingency measures to mitigate some of the significant disruptions that will occur on 1 January in case a deal with the UK is not yet in place.

EBAA joins over 20 associations collectively representing the entire European aviation ecosystem to announce a joint commitment to work with policy makers to achieve net zero CO2 emissions by 2050, as part of a comprehensive collaborative analysis released today detailing ways aviation can recover sustainably and more resiliently from the COVID-19 crisis whilst supporting the European Union’s Green Deal objectives.
