Brussels & Washington, 29 September 2020 – After a first-of-its-kind sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) summit, business aviation leaders have committed to redouble their focus on fostering the large-scale production and widespread adoption of SAF.

Business aviation leaders will convene September 14-15 for a first-of-its-kind Virtual 2020 Business Aviation Sustainability Summit to discuss pathways to accelerate the market for sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), the cleaner-burning alternative fuel that, on a gallon-per-gallon basis, often reduce net lifecycle CO2 emissions in excess of 50%, versus conventional jet fuel.

Geneva/Cologne/Brussels, 23 July 2020 – European Aviation Associations and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) agreed to strengthen efforts to ensure a consistent and safe travel experience for passengers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this unprecedented global downturn, there are calls from some quarters to ensure that as part of the recovery and return to normal operations process, aircraft operators do so, whether they have received assistance or not, with an improved environmental profile.
