US published additional health safety protocols with implications for international travel
Early next week, the United States will tighten pre-departure testing protocols by requiring all inbound international travellers to test within one day of departure globally, regardless of nationality or vaccination status. This tighter testing timeline provides an added degree of public health protection as scientists continue to assess the Omicron variant.

EBAA Shifts Annual Safety Summit from Physical to Digital
01 December 2021, Brusssels. Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in Europe, the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) today announced the shift of the Annual Safety Summit from a physical, to a virtual Summit on December 13-14th , keeping the original dates.

EBAA calls on governments to use an individual risk-based approach versus “country-to-country” to avoid ineffective travel bans
The European Business Aviation community supports the European Commission’s proposal to update the rules on coordination of safe and free movement in the EU focusing on a ‘person-based approach' but considers that after 2 years of experience of the covid-19 pandemic, this approach should avoid the repetition of inefficient actions and measures.

European Business aviation issues joint letter to Czech Presidency
18 October, 2022, (Brussels). EBAA and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) have today issued a joint letter addressed to the Czech Presidency of the European Council, drawing attention to potentially detrimental regulation to the European Business aviation industry ahead of the informal meeting of transport ministers to be held on 20 and 21 October 2022.

A reflection on summer 2021 for Business aviation
The COVID19 crisis had effects on our society as a whole, with a considerable impact on global air transport in particular. As aircraft are by nature borderless, the closure of borders by Governments has led to a disruption of aviation as it was then known and all the industries that depend on it (tourism, hotels, etc.).
