In this report, you will find detailed information on European Business aviation traffic, in a geographic and weekly breakdown.
Towards a return to normal operations?
- Mid-June, the EU lifted internal borders’ restrictions, allowing passengers to once again travel within Europe.
- We observed a slight upturn in Business Aviation traffic towards the end of May. This recovery was confirmed and accelerated over the whole month of June, showing traffic levels at 42% compared to 2019.
- The start of the recovery is taking place at the beginning of the summer period. Therefore seasonal aspects can generate variations in the speed of recovery across European countries.
- The use of small aircraft favoured during the crisis seems to continue. Turboprop and light jets account for 70% of the traffic.
EBAA is actively and closely monitoring developments related to the COVID-19 outbreak. We work with European and global authorities, and other aviation organisation, to gather, filter and disseminate official guidance and information to our members, and the broader industry as it becomes available.
