Navratilova will share her perspectives on the ways that her passions – tennis and flying – have instilled key leadership skills applicable across many disciplines. Winner of an unprecedented 59 Grand Slam titles, Navratilova is an outspoken advocate of aggressive goal-setting.

“We are thrilled to have Martina Navratilova with us at EBACE this year,” said Ed Bolen, president and CEO of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), which co-hosts the show with the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA). “Her incredible life story, both on and off the tennis court, is an inspiration to everyone.”

EBAA Secretary-General Athar Husain Khan agreed, adding: “It is wonderful we can host global leaders such as Ms. Navratilova at EBACE this year. As someone who inspired millions, and with such a strong connection to aviation, her presence will be key to making this the best EBACE yet.”

Navratilova won multiple singles championships at the Australian, French and U.S. Opens, as well as nine first-place single finishes at Wimbledon. She has won doubles and mixed-doubles titles at the four major tournaments as well, the most recent being a mixed-doubles win at the U.S. Open in 2006.

Over the course of her tennis career, she was distinguished as the WTA’s “Tour Player of the Year” seven times, named the Associated Press’s “Female Athlete of the Year” and declared one of the “Top 40 Athletes of All-Time” by Sports Illustrated. After being inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, she continued to take part in WTA events, as well as the 2004 Olympics Games.

Navratilova, who was born in Czechoslovakia in 1956, has spent much of her career overcoming challenges, prejudices and stereotypes. She secured her private pilot’s license in the U.S. in 1999.

EBACE2022 will showcase the very latest in business aviation throughout the European continent, including dozens of leading-edge business aircraft and a variety of exciting future transportation technologies. The show will bring together business leaders, government officials, manufacturers, flight department personnel and others involved in every aspect of business aviation.
