EBAS 2023 gathers an outstanding lineup of speakers to reinforce Business aviation's sustainability leadership

The European Business Aviation Summit 2023 will stimulate crucial discussions on the role of Business aviation in driving sustainable innovation in the aviation sector. The summit will feature an outstanding lineup of high-level speakers coming from the Business aviation industry, European Institutions and the academic world.

The European Business Aviation Summit 2023 (EBAS), now in its second edition, will be held on the 26th of October 2023, in Brussels.

This year’s main theme will be Business aviation’s leadership role in driving sustainability and innovation within the aviation sector, showcasing the sector’s contribution and commitment towards reaching net-zero emissions targets by 2050. On the EU legislative level, the panel discussions will reflect on the outcomes of the recently agreed RefuelEU regulation and unpack the current sustainable finance risks for Business aviation in the framework of EU Taxonomy.

Moreover, with 2024 European election in sight, the summit will delve into how the European Business aviation sector is instrumental to the European Union’s objective of enhancing connectivity, fostering prosperity, and promoting unity within an environmentally sustainable future for all European citizens.

To spur insightful and thought-provoking discussions, EBAA has invited a diverse lineup of thought leaders coming from the Business aviation industry, European institutions, as well as the academic world.

Panel Discussion: Sustainable financing risks for Business aviation – the case of EU Taxonomy

Business aviation is currently at serious risk of exclusion from the EU’s new sustainable finance classification system called EU Taxonomy. The current text fails to recognize the value of Business Aviation as a catalyst for innovation, risking the industry to access crucial financing mechanisms indispensable for its decarbonization.
